10 month Stats

Weight: 18.2 lb

Eating: She’s getting better about feeding herself finger foods. She gets frustrated if we’re eating real food and she isn’t given any.

Bedtime: We’re trying to keep her up until 7:30 right now so she sleeps until 6:30. Any later than that it doesn’t really make a difference.

Awake: She was getting bad about waking up around 6 and earlier which is why we started keeping her up later.

Naps: Most days she does great with her 2 naps per day. Other days she’s too interested in whatever she thinks she’s missing.

Diapers: size 3

Clothes: The PJs that have feet in she’s started wearing 12-18 month size. Everything else is 9-12 months.

Favorites: Still loving standing and getting down. If you pick her up to hold her she wiggles her way back to the floor.

Dislikes: Still not a fan of getting her nose wiped.

Latest accomplishment: She gets herself back down if you pick her up. She’s also starting to attempt words like “down” which comes out more like OWWNN because she’s yelling about it.

We went to the Arboretum this weekend on the pretty day. She wasn't super interested in sitting still or taking pictures. Eating dirt, yes. Crawling in mud, yes. Sitting still, no. 

She has decided that she now really likes the monkey. The first few months I did these pictures she acted like the monkey was a disease. 

She wouldn't keep the sticker on either.

9 month Stats

Weight: 17lb 2 oz
Length: 29"

Percentiles: 90% in height, 40% in weight

Eating: 3 meals per day. She still isn’t a fan of most meat except turkey.

Bedtime: Usually around 7:30 but if she’s tired she’ll go to bed closer to 7:00.

Awake: She slept until 8:00 once this month, but it’s still normal for her to wake up around 6:30. Usually I make her wait in her crib until 7:00.

Naps: She had a hard time napping in the afternoon this month. She’s too interested in everything that’s going on to nap!

Diapers: size 3

Clothes: In PJs she has to have 12 months now. Some 6-9 month things still fit, but she’s wearing most

ly 9-12 month clothes now.

Favorites: Standing! She stands on anything and everything she can get her hands on.

Dislikes: Lying down on her back. She gets suspicious that you’re going to do something to her like put a shirt on or clean her nose.
She is also not a fan of having her nose wiped. Not even with kleenex and the boogies wipes don’t help either.

Latest accomplishment: She finally said “mama” but she doesn’t say it very often. She also stands on everything.

8 month Stats

Weight: We had to go to the doctor this month for a cold so she was weighed there. She weighs 17 lb and 2 oz

Eating: Still eating 3 meals/day. We started giving her pureed meats this month. She really isn’t a fan so I tried to make some fresh chicken and veggies. She equally didn’t like my cooking! LOL

Bedtime: Still going to bed around 7:30 but she can stay up later when something is going on without getting too fussy.

Awake: Most days it’s anywhere from 6:00-7:00. A couple of times this month I got a 7:30 and a 7:45 out of her. Both times though I wasn’t able to sleep in so it didn’t do me any good.

Naps: Still taking a morning and an afternoon nap. I’m not sure when she’s supposed to give up the morning nap, but I don’t think we’re anywhere close!

Diapers: Moved up to size 3. Big girl!

Clothes: She’s still in 6-9 month clothes and a few 9-12 months. Most of the 6-9 stuff fits fine unless it runs small. In the smaller brands she’s in 12 month.

Favorites: She loves to clap now. She’ll clap for anything. Sometimes she’ll even cry and to soothe herself she’ll start clapping.

Dislikes: We had a hard time this month getting her to adjust from the infant bath to the big girl bath. We got her a few toys to distract her and that’s helped. She has also started crying every time I take off or put on a shirt.

Latest accomplishment: This month was a big month for her! She learned to clap, say “da-da”, crawl, and she’s attempting to stand. She’s so proud of herself when she claps. She waits for us to say “yaaay” and then she’ll clap some more.

Don't ask an 8th month old to sit still or you'll get a lot of this...

Wait! Another month has gone by??? What is happening??

Weight: According to my home scale she weighs 16 pounds!

Eating: She eats her three main meals per day and then a bottle before bed. I think I’m going to start combining the bottle with the last feeding this month.

Bedtime: Usually around 7:30

Awake: Still stirring around 6:30. I can usually get her to wait it out on the weekend until 7:00 but she’s awake.

Naps: Usually taking a nap in the morning and a nap in the afternoon. They’re anywhere from an hour to two hours. I prefer the two-hour naps, but she hasn’t asked my opinion yet.

Diapers: Still in size two. She could probably wear size three but I still have several size twos left so we’re going to use them up!

Clothes: Mostly 6-9 and 9 months. Most of her 6 month clothes are too small. PJs have to be 9 months or bigger. 12 month PJs fit fine now too.

Favorites: Apparently last month I wrote about Kaizer being her favorite. L
She’s started to notice all animals and wants to grab them. She had a spat with Cinnamon today I’m sure due to her over active interest in animals.
She loves slapping her toys and people’s hands with her hand open now.
She also likes to pull my hair- HARD!

Dislikes: Sitting still in a movie. When she was younger she would sleep or at least could be pacified by standing off to the side. Not anymore. I tried to keep her quite which resulted in an incredibly loud scream of frustration. No more movies!

Latest accomplishment: She started to get up on all fours this month and rocks back and forth. She’s tried to make crawling movements but face plants each time. She’s REALLY close though!
