7 month Stats

Wait! Another month has gone by??? What is happening??

Weight: According to my home scale she weighs 16 pounds!

Eating: She eats her three main meals per day and then a bottle before bed. I think I’m going to start combining the bottle with the last feeding this month.

Bedtime: Usually around 7:30

Awake: Still stirring around 6:30. I can usually get her to wait it out on the weekend until 7:00 but she’s awake.

Naps: Usually taking a nap in the morning and a nap in the afternoon. They’re anywhere from an hour to two hours. I prefer the two-hour naps, but she hasn’t asked my opinion yet.

Diapers: Still in size two. She could probably wear size three but I still have several size twos left so we’re going to use them up!

Clothes: Mostly 6-9 and 9 months. Most of her 6 month clothes are too small. PJs have to be 9 months or bigger. 12 month PJs fit fine now too.

Favorites: Apparently last month I wrote about Kaizer being her favorite. L
She’s started to notice all animals and wants to grab them. She had a spat with Cinnamon today I’m sure due to her over active interest in animals.
She loves slapping her toys and people’s hands with her hand open now.
She also likes to pull my hair- HARD!

Dislikes: Sitting still in a movie. When she was younger she would sleep or at least could be pacified by standing off to the side. Not anymore. I tried to keep her quite which resulted in an incredibly loud scream of frustration. No more movies!

Latest accomplishment: She started to get up on all fours this month and rocks back and forth. She’s tried to make crawling movements but face plants each time. She’s REALLY close though!

I cannot believe we are already at 6 months! 6 months ago we started on a journey that was scary and uncertain and I had no idea what I was doing, but I have enjoyed every second of these last 6 months. I feel so many mixed emotions when she hits another month older because I’m so excited about the things she’s doing and learning but I love each stage so much that I’m sad to see it go. And right now she’s just started to show when she loves someone and she lights up when certain people are talking to her and she grabs my face and just stares and it absolutely melts my heart!! You can just tell that she thinks the world of some people and then is unsure of others. She’s so expressive and already has such a personality at 6 months old.

Weight: 14 lb, 15 oz

Percentiles:75^th in height, 25^th in weight

Eating: She’s still eating 4 times per day. She drinks formula around 8:00, eats a veggie at noon and drinks a smaller bottle. She eats a veggie and fruit around 5:00 and then drinks her last bottle around 7:00.

Bedtime: She’s going to sleep earlier and earlier. She’s usually out before 8:00.

Awake: She still wakes up around 7:00 but she’s starting to stir around 6:30. We’ve gotten a couple 7:30s out of her too.

Naps: Still take 2 longer naps after breakfast and lunch and then maybe a short one before dinner but we’re trying to stick to the 2.

Diapers: Size two still, but not for long. At night I have to put her in a 3 or the 12 hour Pampers because she pees through the huggies 2s. There was a week where I changed her PJs and sheets around 4:00 AM 3 mornings in a row. I decided no more Huggies at night!!

Clothes: All 6 months, some 6-9 and PJs have to be 9 months for the length.

Favorites: She enjoys rolling across the floor now. I’ll put her on a blanket and go to unload the dish washer and I’ll come back and she’s 6 feet from where I left her.

She also likes to grab the water out of the sprayer when she takes a bath.

She’s started to notice the dogs and she stares at Kaizer and follows him with her eyes wherever he goes. She’s very intrigued by him.

She also likes to grab EVERYTHING!! It makes it hard to hold her and do something else because she wants whatever is in front of her.

Dislikes: Being sick- but who doesn’t really? She caught a cold last week and was MISERABLE. There were 2 nights that were really rough and one in particular where she cried and was so pathetic that I practically held her all night and cried with her. It was heart breaking!

Latest accomplishment: Rolling across the floor. She also notices when you get closer and further away from her and she thinks it’s funny when you come close to her slowly.

Still has to eat the stickers!

Weight: my scale at home says 15 lbs. but it’s usually a little more than the doctor.

Eating: She’s eating about 4 times a day. Twice a day she gets vegetables and once a day she gets a fruit to go with the vegetable.

Bedtime: Anywhere from 7:45 to 8:30.   

Awake: She still wakes up around 7:00 but she’s starting to stir around 6:30.

Naps: She’s taking 2 longer naps per day- one in the morning and one in the afternoon and then sometimes a really short evening nap, but that one isn’t very consistent.

Diapers: Still in size twos. I hope we wear these longer than we wore size ones!

Clothes: We’re completely out of 3 month clothes. She can still wear some 3-6 month clothes but we’re in a lot of 6 month clothes now. PJs with feet have to be 6 month+. She can wear a few 9 mo PJs and onesies too.  

Favorites: She still loves to hear herself talk! She loves squash and sweet potato.

Dislikes: We started cereal, and then veggies and then fruits and she HATES green beans.

Latest accomplishment: She can roll over both ways and she rolls completely across the floor. She also started eating foods and does awesome!

She went to her first Baylor game this month! :)

She was dedicated to the church this month!

Her Nonnie made this beautiful dress for her dedication! 

The bonnet was too big to wear in the dedication but we took pics with it anyways!

I visited mommy's friend Sarah this month. 

I went to my first birthday party this month. 

I went to visit my great-grandma Theda. 

I rooted for the Rangers

I started eating food!

I went to my first winery! 

And here I am again rooting for the Baylor Bears!!

4 month stats

I'm a few days late, but better late than never!

4 month Stats

Weight: 13 lbs 12 oz
2 pounds gained!!

Length: I'll post tomorrow. I'm already in bed and I don't want to get up!

Percentiles: 95% in height and 23% in weight. Dr. said she’s every girl’s dream! Haha.  

Eating: Eating every 4 hours and now we’re starting rice cereal.  

Bedtime: Now that she’s in day care she usually asleep by 8:15 or 8:30 at the latest.   

Awake: She still wakes up around 7:00 but occasionally she’ll sleep 12 hours and sleeps until 8:00

Naps: She’s still taking 3 naps a day. And now that’s she’s in day care she’s doing better napping in her pack n play and car seat.

Diapers: She’s completely out of size ones now. We donated several to different people. She’s in size twos now.

Clothes: She can still wear most of her 3 mo clothes, but PJs with her feet in them have to be 3-6 mo or 6 mo. Some of her 6 months clothes fit but only if they’re one piece or dresses.   

Favorites: She likes to play with her key set. Still loves bath. I usually end up as wet as her!  She also LOVES to squeal and hear herself talk!

Dislikes: She caught a cold this month and she HATES when I clean out her nose. She also hates the hiccups.   

Latest accomplishment: She can grab things now so sometimes when we pick her up off the play mat, the mat comes with her. She’s getting much closer to rolling over from back to front. She can sit in the bumbo and hold her own head up now.
